UCF sprinter Octavious Freeman runs fastest 100-meter dash in world this year

Freeman, who was running the outdoor 100-meter dash for the first time in her college career, finished with a time of 11.10 seconds at the Florida Relays Friday. It was the fastest college or professional 100-meter dash this year that was not wind aided. Freeman set the Florida Relays, UCF school and UCF freshman record in the 100-meter dash. She followed up her 100-meter dash win with a strong performance in the 200-meter dash. Freeman won the race with a time of 22.80 seconds, which is the second fastest college professional 200-meter dash in the world this year that was not wind aided.
